I think the beat needs a little more "filling". Otherwise a very smooth chill out version.

Love the main riff you have there, very chill-out esque but I think the kick is too overpowering for a chill out style track. Maybe compress it abit more to sit better with the bassline to take that harder edge away from the kick

I dont know if its the speakers I'm using at work(50" plasma tv speakers lol) but the vocal only seems to come out more bout 4.20.

Are you sidechaining the kick and bass together?

As dj bizz said above it needs abit of filling out in terms of percussion, maybe abit of a background melody/synth to carry it along with the main riff, something that could die out into the start of the breaks and come back in later.

I'll give it a whirl tomorrow on my KRK's and see what it sounds like.

Yer thanx for the feedback mate, really helps seeing it from another point of view. It was a little simplistic which i think give it that chill-out factor. I was going to add ambience and change the synth tone, add a dirtier baseline or just more filling. Im working on some old skool covers at the moment so ill keep in mind all you guys have said, thanx.

TFD,

Knowing your potential from the mixes I have heard of yours, I thought you could do a lot more with this song. Its defenitely got plenty of potential from a remix perspective. Its got a nice feeling to it. But not something which powers its way through. Where the funk man ? :) But if the intention is to try something diff that what u normally do, then thats defenitely come thru. Hope what I say makes sense!
