When Posting For Files

Dear users,

Please, when you go to get a new file, dont just say "blah" or "thanks" so you can go and download it. The people who have hosted and linked the files have taken time to do this for you. You could at least give them something to look at other than "blah" when they look to see who has taken it. Even if it is just a "oh this is nice, ill use this for my next mix".

If you are just going to take and not give atleast be polite about it.

Also, if your feeling particularly kind you could even give the uploader song rep, this will at least show them you have helped them.

i agree blobby. if people keep posting crap then eventually the guys (mods) will get sick of it & simply shut the forum down.

i know im new here but that is just common sense! come on people, your getting this stuff for free! How many other sites do u kno that just allows you to download as many rare files as this.

I'm glad you wish to contribute & there are a few ways you can do it.

1) *Recommended* As you said, use rapidshare sendspace yousendit or some other file sharing site.

2) Attach the file when posting a new message or a reply to a message (Use the button instead of the quick reply box - then click on 'Additional Options' - this will allow you to attach a message directly from your computer.

3) Once you reach VIP status (50 posts) you will gain access to the VIP only section of the forum & also be eligible for unlimited space on our server. We will set up an FTP account for your personal use.

I recommend using method 1 until you reach 50 posts. Because when you post the link to the file, you can place it in [*hide]Content Here[*/hide] tags. This will hide the content until the user replies to the message. This allows you to see exactly who has downloaded your content! For more information on our HIDE tags, see this post

Didn't know that myself. I was just attaching them but I'll do that in future. The only annoyance I find with upload sites like Rapidshare and Megaupload is the restrictions...especially if you have a premium Rapidshare account and somebody links to "the other" Rapidshare.

And sorry, I suppose I'm a culprit for saying "thanks" sometimes, but sometimes I have nothing else to say.
