Millions Like UsThree piece Brighton based Millions Like Us (Chris, Ian & Tom) originally played in the same band. When the band split they decided to carry on making tunes which fuse “captivating melodies with heavy dance floor bass lines.” We’re certainly glad they did!

Within hours of sending their debut track “Put your Shoes On” to the BBC it was playlisted as ‘unsigned track of the week’ by DJ Target on 1Xtra.

Their remix of Stay by Hurts is brilliant & should definitely be doing big things in the clubs in the next few months.

Usually when we hear remixes, the original material put out by the artists is well, mediocre at best. In this case? Not a chance! MLU provide very mature, well produced & well balanced tracks that I’ve had on repeat for the last few days.

Expect big things!

Wretch 32 (aka Jermaine Sinclair) is a UK based MC & rapper from Tottenham, North London. His new track ‘Traktor’ is good (here’s the official video for the radio edit) but the stand out remixes for me are the Brookes Brothers  & Friction Mixes.

Please Note: These are shortened & restructured edits.

Traktor is set for release on Ministry of Sound January 16th 2011.

Trybass and Eliaz met in 2005 at a rave in Southern France. They began DJing together at numerous techno festivals in France, Italy, Portugal & the UK.

Since 2009 the guys have been busy producing & remixing a whole host of artists including Trashing Teenagers, Asian Trash Boy, FCKN Crew & SUPER PIXEL! Their sound is described as Electro Trash with big, distorted basslines & grungy leads. The depth & quality of their production is clearly evident, showing a clear understanding of the music they’re creating.

In late 2009, they founded Zero System Production based jointly in London and Nice. Their debut EP (Blind Boys) will be available very soon on Artek Lab Records.

My ET – Freaking Pillow
My ET – Your Trip
Asian Trash Boy – Whisper (My ET Remix)

They’ve got loads more tracks available on their Soundcloud so head across and show them some love!

There’s no question Ed Banger Records have always been at the forefront of originality within the music scene and their slick new iPhone app  released from french super duo “Cassius” is definitely no exception!!

This cool little app is a collection of various human mouths mouthing the lyrics to their epic new track “I love you so” (from their brand new Rawkers EP [iTunes].) which features a sample from Gladys Knight & The Pips – I feel a song ( In My Heart).

A truly beautiful track with a genius video to match!

Watch it now &  spread the digital love!!

NumberNin6 – pronounced Number 9 – burst onto the scene last year with a huge remix of Breathe by Prodigy.

Since then his productions have continued & the quality certainly hasn’t dropped.

His new 3 track EP “With You” takes things a little bit more gently with great swirling basses & pads that fill the soundstage.

Canadian born Alain Macklovitch aka A-Trak aka one half of Duck Sauce) has released this track featuring Prince CyHi which really takes him back to his roots in hip hop music (remember he is the youngest person to ever win the DMC at just 15).

He was then recruited by Kanye West as his tour DJ in 2004, owns his own clothing line & co-runs Fools Gold Records.

I love Skrillex. I love the raw dubstep elements, the quality house & top drawer production. I also happen to love Noisia.

Sometimes when you bring two huge names together on a production the effect can be disappointing with each producer effectively ‘cancelling out’ the work of the other. However I’m glad to report that no such thing has happened here!

Skrillex – Scary Monsters & Nice Sprites (Noisia Remix)

OK,  lets be honest! There’s an inner geek in all of us and I guess if your anything like me, you would do just about anything to get your hands on your own iconic daft punk helmet with blinking Lights….YES??

Unfortunately these things don’t come cheap, you can expect to pay anything from £30,000 to £60,000 just for a replica.

So when I came across graphic designer, Harrison Krix attempt to build his own daft punk helmet, I was all ears!

He has just spent the last 17 months of his life designing an exact replica of the notorious helmet worn by Daft Punk’s Guy-Manuel.
In this video he attempts to demonstrate how it was made in no less than 749 steps.

Oh and If your thinking about buying one from Harrison, well forget it, he not making duplicates

This was a one off project which he wont be repeating again anytime soon!!

But if you do have 17 months to spare, then he has all the details of how he created it on his blog.
